Scholarships

The St. Thomas Board of REALTORS® is committed to helping support the educational aspirations of young St. Thomians.

High school students looking for financial help for college, university or a trade school can apply to the St. Thomas Board of REALTORS® Scholarship Committee, which funds and administers the Jacqueline Morgan Scholarship and Evelyn Moran Scholarship. Each June, recipients of the scholarships receive up to $2,000 each towards their higher education experience.

Realtors across St. Thomas have been funding these scholarship programs for 14 years as part of their commitment to giving back to the local community.

Eligibility Requirements

Students interested in being considered for the scholarship program must be permanent residents of St. Thomas, and they must complete an application to the St. Thomas Board of Realtors, including a 500-word essay. Essays will be judged on originality, creativity, grammar, and spelling.

Additional requirements are as follows:

  • A letter of acceptance from the college, university or trade school the student will be attending
  • Three letters of recommendation: one from the guidance counselor of their high school and two others from a person not related to the applicant by blood or marriage
  • A cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher

Essays will be judged on:

  • originality
  • creativity
  • grammar and spelling
